Mary Coughlan is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served as a TD for the Donegal South West constituency from 1987–2011. During her career in government, she held the Cabinet positions of Tánaiste (2008–11), Minister for Health and Children (2011), Minister for Education and Skills (2010–11), Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment (2008–10), Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (2004–08), and Minister for Social and Family Affairs (2002–04). She lost her Dáil seat in the 2011 general election.

Pat The Cope Gallagher is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He is currently a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the North–West constituency, having previously served as a TD for the Donegal South West constituency and as a junior minister.

Niall Blaney is a former Irish politician. A member of Independent Fianna Fáil until he joined Fianna Fáil in 2006, he served as a TD for Donegal North East from 2002 to 2011. For personal reasons, he decided not to contest the 2011 general election.

Cecilia Keaveney is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician. She was a TD and also a Senator from 1996 to 2011.
