Michael Mariotte is Executive Director and the chief spokesperson for Nuclear Information and Resource Service, which he has led since 1986. He has made numerous television appearances and has been widely quoted in the press.
He has testified in the United States Senate and before the U.S. House of Representatives on radioactive waste transportation; radioactive metals “recycling;” the future of the nuclear power industry; “one-step” reactor licensing and other issues.
He has also spoken before Parliamentary bodies in Bulgaria and Hungary, and appeared at conferences and media events in Greece, Ukraine, Slovakia, Germany and elsewhere.
